About Locomotion Psychology
I have a deep love of finding out about how people work, and helping them to understand themselves. Some other things that make me happy include bugs, birds, books, and trains (hence: Locomotion Psychology!).
I currently live and work in the Macedon Ranges. Prior to becoming a registered psychologist, I worked for over two decades in music and education. I love building a rapport with people of all ages, finding out about the things that feel effortless for them as well as the things that might be causing difficulty or stress.
Perhaps you’ve noticed your child having some social or academic challenges at school, and you’re looking for more information about how to support them and help them thrive. Maybe you have wondered whether you or a loved one you care for might be neurodivergent, and you’re not sure what to do next. Or maybe a teacher, GP or allied health worker has recommended an assessment.
My intention is that everyone involved in the assessment will feel well-supported and as comfortable as possible throughout the process. Some of it might even be fun! You are welcome to talk to me about things that might make it easier for you or your child to show up and connect with an unfamiliar person. I’m happy to take things at your pace, with the understanding that breaks and moments for reflection or recharging will be available if you need it.
